Setup

  1. 1Install: python -m pip install aider-install && aider-install.
  2. 2Set OPENAI_API_BASE and OPENAI_API_KEY, then prefix the model id with openai/.

Good to know

  • Aider warns about unknown context sizes for custom models; it still works. Add the model to .aider.model.settings.yml to silence it.
Tips
  • Any model id from Models works; suffixes like :online (web search) and :nitro work too.
  • Give each tool its own key with a spend limit, so usage shows separately in Activity.
